Objective answers were evaluated first. The scores were normalized (by converting them out of 10 for each problem) and then added to obtain the unweighted total. Weights for each problem were decided based on the average performance (lower mean/median scores imply higher weights). Weighted total score was computed by multiplying each problem score by the corresponding weight. Different cut-offs were set for the weighted and unweighted total scores. A candidate script was selected for complete evaluation if at least one of the unweighted or weighted total scores were higher than the corresponding cut-offs.

In the second round of evaluation, the explanation and some of the assignments that were not asked to be written on the answer booklet were checked. In this case too, the scores were normalized (as needed), and weighted.

Finally, cut-offs for weighted and unweighted scores were decided to select the candidates for PLO Round 2. The following tables show problem-wise as well as overall statistics, problem weights and the cut-offs for Juniors and Seniors.

**O** : Objective score (statistics are computed on all students writing the test) **O+E** : Objective and explanation score combined (statistics are computed only on the subset of students who were selected for complete evaluation).
